1993
Introduction of the original patient appointment message system, a microprocessor based system, which enabled doctors to call patients about their appointments automatically and lessen “no shows”.  It meant that staff members were free to do other things.  It was efficient and cost effective.

1995
An option was added to make it possible to insert the date and time of the patient’s appointment into the message.

1997
The program was redesigned to run on the user-friendly PC using the Windows 95 operating system, and PAM97 was introduced.

1998
The Spanish language option was added, and voice quality was further improved.

2000 
MCS Services, Inc. changes its name to American Telephony, LLC.  PAM2000 was introduced.  The following features were added:

Patient Name Option- speaks the patient’s name
Provider Name Option- speaks the provider’s name
Appointment Type Option- speaks the appointment type and any specific instructions
New Reports

2001
Following Features have been added:

Multi-Line Capability- 2, 3 or 4 lines calling simultaneously
French Language Option- French as primary or secondary language
Birthday Messages- Delivers a  birthday message on the patients' actual birthday even if the birthday falls on the weekend

2004
Tele-Zapper Detection

The ability to detect a $40 device that will prevent tele-marketers from calling.

Today PAM2000 runs on IBM Personal Computers (PC’s) using  the latest Microsoft Windows operating systems and uses an Intel Dialogic telephony board to connect with your local telephone service. Dialogic is the industry leader in hardware telephone services-- produces unparalleled voice quality using a pre-recorded human voice and direct signal processing technology. The result is a system that is patient-friendly and detects answering machines, interception by an operator, busy signals, etc.  Best of all, installation, training and technical support are always a part of the PAM2000 package.
